Certified API Technology Fees
The following information applies to U.S.-based healthcare providers seeking to deploy Cerner certified API technology for their Cerner Millennium® or Soarian Clinicals EHR. Pricing identified is effective as of November 1, 2021. Cerner certified API technology is available free of charge to clients utilizing the Cerner Ambulatory ASP model as it is part of the bundled product available to Cerner Ambulatory clients. Millennium Certified APIs
Standard (standalone environment) healthcare provider implementation categories are separated into similarly situated tiers of S/M/L/XL based on the volume of patient records in the system. Pricing and tiering are calculated and charged per Cerner Millennium® production environment. In addition to the fees outlined in the table below, a one-time setup fee of $10,000 also applies for first-time implementations covering one production environment and one non-production environment. A one-time $5,000 fee applies for each additional non-production environment setup requested. No additional charges apply related to ongoing use of the certified API technology.
- Small (S) = 0-2 million patient records
- Medium (M) = 2-10 million patient records
- Large (L) = 10-20 million patient records
- Extra Large (XL) = 20+ million patient records

*The Cerner Ignite APIs for Cerner Millennium with Bulk Data Access product being delivered for the Bulk Data API certification requirements at 45 CFR 170.315(g)(10) is currently in development and will complete certification during calendar year 2022.
Soarian Clinicals Certified APIs
The Ignite APIs for Soarian Clinicals currently support consumer (patient) facing apps only. Cerner does not charge healthcare providers for access and use of the APIs, with the exception of a one-time setup service fee of $28,935 for the first environment, and $9,720 for each additional environment.
Standards Version Advancement Process (SVAP)
Under the ONC’s Standards Version Advancement Process (SVAP), developers of certified health IT are permitted to voluntarily certify to newer versions of adopted standards that have been approved by the National Coordinator via the SVAP. Provided below is a listing of the National Coordinator-approved newer versions of adopted standards which Cerner has (or intends to) voluntarily certified to, organized by calendar year.
